The library of B.H.S.S.Trust's Polytechnic serves as a dynamic knowledge hub that supports academic learning, research, and intellectual growth. It houses a rich and diverse collection of textbooks, reference materials, journals, magazines, and newspapers aligned with the curriculum of various programmes offered by the Academy.

The library is designed as a spacious, well-furnished, and well-lit learning environment with adequate seating capacity. Students are encouraged to utilize the facility for reading daily newspapers, accessing prescribed and recommended books, referring to previous years’ question papers, and keeping abreast of the latest academic developments.

By providing access to both print and digital resources, the library plays a vital role in promoting independent learning, critical thinking, and research-oriented study. It aims to cultivate a strong reading culture and create an engaging space where learning becomes both meaningful and enjoyable.

B.H.S.S.Trust's Polytechnic library aims s to support the academic and research needs of students and faculty by providing timely access to relevant information resources. The library is committed to fostering lifelong learning, enhancing intellectual curiosity, and enabling students to achieve their highest academic potential through quality information services and a learner-centric environment.

 

USAGE OF LIBRARY

The Library is open to all students, teaching staff, and faculty members on all working days from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A systematic entry record is maintained to monitor daily usage and ensure effective library management.

Students regularly visit the library to issue and return books, utilize the reading room facilities, and consult available textbooks, reference materials, journals, and e-resources. These resources support classroom learning and assist students in completing assignments, project work, and other academic requirements prescribed in the course curriculum.

The reading room is equipped with a comfortable seating arrangement and provides access to daily newspapers in both Hindi and English, enabling users to stay informed about current affairs and enhance their general awareness alongside academic learning.

 

  • RULES AND REGULATIONS

     

    1.      Library cards are mandatory. Entry is allowed only with a valid Library Card.

    2.      Maintain Silence inside the library.

    3.      Two books are  issued. for 7 days,

    4.      Late returns: fines apply after closing hours or due dates

    5.      Handle books with care; damages or losses are charged to the borrower.

    6.      Mobile phones should be on silent mode.

    7.      No food or drinks allowed.

    8.      Personal belongings should not be left unattended.

    9.      Reference Section:

    - Reference books, journals, and materials are for in-library use only

    - No borrowing or photocopying allowed for reference materials

    - Handle reference materials with extra care

     

    LIBRARY TIMINGS

     

    1.      Library hours 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    2.      Book issue & return timings: 10:15 AM to 4:15 PM.

    3.      Library remains closed on Sundays & holidays.

    4.      Reading area will close 15 minutes before closing time.

    5.      No issue or return of books after 4:15 PM.

    6.      Students must vacate the library by 4:30 PM.

    7.      Timings may change during exams or special schedules.
